Yes, Hong Kong Harbour View Seafood Restaurant is located in downtown Honolulu at the Aloha Tower marketplace (1 Aloha Tower Drive) and not in Hong Kong.
The menu at Hong Kong Harbour View Seafood Restaurant is extensive. Items range from Shark’s Fin Soup to Beef in Bird’s Nest ($14.95). The food here is upscale Hong Kong and Szechwan style cooking.
My trek to this restaurant is usually for the dim sum which is served from rolling carts. Dim sum is served from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. If you go between 10 – 11 a.m., most of the dim sum is $2 a basket or plate. My favorite dim sum there is the mochi rice which has bits of lup cheong, pork, and mushroom, crispy shrimp balls, and the salty gin dway.
The dim sum special is not good during holidays. Be sure to watch the time. The price of the dim sum will go up if you order after 11 a.m. While the variety of dim sum is good, some may not be available before 11 a.m. If there is something you would like to eat, ask the servers.
