Where’s the Beef?  Burgers on the Edge

If you want a good, juicy hamburger with your choice of toppings and sauces, you’ve got to try this place. Burgers on the Edge is located at 890 Kapahulu Avenue, Suite 100 (near the new Kapahulu Safeway).

I like meat. I admit it, I’m a carnivore. Hubby suggested we try Burgers on the Edge on Saturday night.

When you walk into the restaurant, the staff ask if you’ve been there before so they can orient you. You can order one of the faves which is listed on the screen or can design your own burger.  We opted to share the Milano which has lettuce, tomatoes, basil pesto, and a type of cheese I can’t remember. We also ordered the shoestring fries. The burger was big, juicy and delicious. The bread was sweet and fell apart but that didn’t bother me. The fries were hot and tasty. I ate more fries than normal.

What’s neat about this place is that you can custom design your burger. You can have either 1/2 lb. of ground chuck $8.40 or 1/2 lb. of Wagyu beef for $12.49 and best of all they won’t make it until you order it. If you don’t eat beef you can order a chicken breast for $7.99, turkey burger for $8.49 or portabello mushroom for $7.49.

You also have your choice of different gourmet cheeses…bleu cheese, gruyere, cheddar, pepper jack, provolone, swiss, havarti, mozzarella, or parmesan.

In addition, your choices of sauces include Jalapeno ketchup, red relish, smoked hickory BBQ, Chipotle honey mustard, garlic aioli, basil pesto, country ranch, marinara, teriyaki, wine sauce, cajun aioli, or Russian dressing.

Toppings (you get 4) include Romaine lettuce,tomatoes, mesclun green, Portabello mushrooms, fried egg, pineapple salsa, red onion, sprouts, grilled or crispy
onions, bacon, cranberry relish, red peppers, ham, dill pickles, and sundried tomatoes.

The food at Burgers on the Edge was fresh, good, tasty and hot. Try it, we think you’ll like it. I know we’ll be back. Burgers on the Edge is open seven days a week from 10:30 a.m. and closes at 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
