Located at 98-1262 Kaahumanu Street in Aiea, Stuart Anderson’s Cattle Company is a bargain, especially if you use one of their coupons that appears in the Honolulu Advertise Sunday paper every other week. Be sure to come hungry when you eat at Stuart Anderson’s and be prepared to take food home.
Hubby and I decided to cruise around and ended up at Stuart Anderson’s Cattle Company at 5 p.m. We went into the restaurant and were seated right away. While there were people eating in the restaurant, there were lots of booths available.
We decided on the Campfire Feast for 2 ($28/person). It comes with a choice of any Steakhouse Starter (three cheese garlic bread, loaded potato skins, chicken tenders, jumbo prawn cocktail, fried zucchini, steak quesadillas, fresh artichokes, or the wagon wheel sampler platter), a choice of any 2 of entrees (8 oz. prime rib, 12 oz. New York Steak, 6 oz. filet mignon, 12 oz. rib eye, 8 oz salmon, or 10 oz. chicken breast) and a choice of one dessert (Sky-high Mud Pie, New York Cheesecake, Fudge Cake, or Silver Dollar Cowboy Cookies).
We chose the Wagon Wheel Platter, filet mignon, ribeye, and silver dollar cookie. Hubby ordered the Wedge Salad with honey mustard dressing and green beans for his sides. I chose the green beans, and steamed broccoli.
Our waitress brought the warm molasses bread with butter. Yummy… Then she brought the Wagon Wheel Sampler which came with the zucchini, buffalo chicken tenders, loaded potato skins, and shrimp cocktail. We ate about half of the Sampler and boxed the rest. The same was true for everything else that came. We had enough leftover food for another 3 meals.
Hubby ordered the filet medium well and it came out perfect. I ordered the ribeye medium and it was well done. I chose not to say anything and just ate the steak. The service was quick and attentive.
The Wagon Wheel Sampler has a lot of fried foods so I recommend that you order a salad, green beans and or broccoli to get a more balanced meal. There’s a lot of the color brown on the plate and that can’t be too healthy. Based on the American Cancer Society try to include colors in the rainbow.
I personally didn’t like the silver dollar cookie. It was okay but I prefer the chocolate fudge cake.
There were lots of people waiting in the lobby and outside when we left the restaurant. I’m glad that we got in early. Next time, I’ll make sure I have a coupon so I can save some money. I also recommend calling ahead (ph. 487-0054) to make a reservation to avoid the wait. Happy eating.
