Since it was our last night in Las Vegas, I wanted to eat at a nice place that was near our hotel. Hubby & I finally decided on Julian Serrano at the Aria Resort and Casino.
We didn’t make a reservation but just walked over to the restaurant. For those that are interested, Julian Serrano offers a tasting menu that is available until 7 p.m. for $39/person which includes an appetizer, entree (chicken breast roulada, fish, organic pork chop, or beef tenderloin for an additional $10) including sides, and a dessert.
There is also signature tasting menu for $59/person.
If ever there was a restaurant that is a must try in Las Vegas, Julian Serrano is it. The food is awesome. Although, there are entrees, in my opinion, the tapas or small dishes are the stars. Descriptions of the food don’t capture the taste and uniqueness.
The menu is extensive and choosing your tapas can be difficult but it’s fun. Your waiter can also recommend some dishes. Staffan was our waiter. He was friendly, attentive, and not overbearing.
Our initial choices were the goat cheese salad ($10) with the goat cheese on the side and the spanish iberico sliders ($12). The goat cheese salad was good but in comparison to the rest of the tapas, one that we could have omitted. The sliders (2) were great. The thick patty made with prime beef and pork was delicious and juicy.
We ended up ordering a total of 7 tapas which included the spanish tortilla ($8), salmon roulade ($12), flat iron steak ($14), coca vegetarian ($10), and bronzinni or sea bass ($14). The spanish tortilla looks like an apple pie but is made with potatoes and eggs and is scrumptious. The coca vegetarian pizza was especially different. The crust was crispy and light.
Hubby said that he would eat at Julian Serrano every night if he could. That statement says how good the food is because hubby is not a foodie.
If you plan to be in Vegas, I highly recommend that you try Julian Serrano. For reservations, call (877) 230-2742. Julian Serrano is located on the Casino level at the Aria next to the main registration.
