On the Road…Eskimo Candy Seafood Market & Cafe in Kihei

Hubby and I heard of Eskimo Candy but had never eaten there. We decided to try it for lunch the last day we were in Maui on our way to the airport. Eskimo Candy is not fancy and is located off the beaten path.

Hours are weekdays only from 10:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. You can either eat in, take out, or cook at home. While we were there, we saw a lot of take out orders of poke (marinated raw fish). We tried the poke and it was fresh and tasty.

However, since we weren’t very hungry, we decided to order two pieces grilled fresh walu (butterfish), fries and a cup of the seafood chowder. Total for our meal was $13.33.

The fish was very simply prepared, seasoned and grilled. It was quite tasty and moist. The fries were crunchy, the way I like my fries. The chowder was very ono, creamy with loads of seafood.

Service was very friendly and helpful.

Eskimo Candy is located at 2665 Wai Wai Place. Their phone number is (808) 891-8898. Burgers, chicken, and ribs are also available in case you are not into seafood.  I really liked the chowder and would definitely order that again.
