We dined at Baker & Banker located on 1701 Octavia Street the last night of our trip. Hubby and I drove into the city an hour earlier to make sure we found street parking which we did. We also found out that valet parking is available on Friday and Saturday nights.
The food, in general, was very good. We started with the bread basket ($5) which had 5 slices of different types of bread (onion, cheese cracker, a chocolate bread, and others that I can’t remember). The bread is made in house and is fresh and dense. The cheese cracker was a little burnt to me so our waiter brought out another cracker which was better.
We ordered the asparagus ($15), ocean trout ($29), duck ($29), and triple chocolate cake ($10). The taste of the food was scrumptious and the presentation good. The trout was moist and flavorful. The duck was cooked perfectly and the taste awesome.
The triple chocolate was very rich and and a nice ending to a wonderful meal.
Service was fine, nothing missing but not special.
If you are in the Bay Area, I recommend you try this restaurant. I think you will enjoy the food.
