My significant other and I wanted to eat at a new venue for dinner on Friday and decided on W Bistro. We called Thursday evening and made reservations for Friday night at 5 p.m.
Located at the Medical Arts Building, W Bistro is a relatively new contemporary American restaurant with a great location across Thomas Square and the NBC Concert Hall. Parking is available either on the street or in the parking lot (entrance on Young Street). You can eat outside in the patio or inside.
We ordered the 1010 chopped salad ($12), seared sea scallops ($16), BBQ chicken flatbread ($12), and the 1010 burger ($16). The chopped salad was large enough to share and take home. The vegies were fresh and crisp. Our fave was the sea scallops which is served with butternut squash puree, spinach and mushrooms. The scallops (2) were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The scallops are only available for dinner.
The flatbread was served with greens and a pineapple relish. The crust was dark but did not taste burnt.
The burger was juicy and the fries crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Yummy.
The food was very good and worth another visit. I recommend W Bistro for lunch which seems more reasonable in price than dinner. The burger is $9 for lunch but does not includes fries.
Call 589-2295 for reservations. W Bistro is located at 1010 S. King Street, #108.
